Who Framed Hatsune Miku?

Description

Here is a most recent picture I made last month. I started working on it the day after I posted Tonypilot's picture request on DeviantArt (Sept. 6), then I rendered the picture(s) and added the dialogue on Sept. 11. It took me 40 minutes to make.

This picture is my tribute to the good old days of Nintendo (if anything, it was the golden age of Nintendo). I never owned any Nintendo Power magazines or heard of "Video Power" (a Nintendo-inspired TV show gamers that grew up in the 80's always seem to remember/talk about) as a kid, but I wouldn't exactly say that's a bad thing.

This picture is based on "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" for the NES, an movie-based LJN video game that every NES gamer says is a bad game. When I played that game as a kid, at the time, I thought it was a good game. Anyway, the picture is depicting when you go into a building and see someone walking around. When you see a person walking around, you press the A Button to talk to them. When you press the A Button, Eddie Valiant (you) asks the person, "Can you help me?" The answer the person you're talking to gives you depends on whether or not the building is empty, has a hidden item in it, or they will give you a clue to help you get through the game. Sometimes they will say they can't help you mostly when you purposely or accidentally punch them (and make their heads spin, which is quite amusing, actually) and a few times they will say they can't help you (even if you didn't punch them).

I take the place of Eddie Valiant from the game, and Megurine Luka takes the place of a random lady you will find in the buildings in the game. Luka's response to me ("Get the power, Nintendo Power!") actually comes from the Angry Video Game Nerd's review of Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link. When he complains about the townspeople in the game not being very helpful, he says, "They might as well just say, 'Get the power, Nintendo Power!'" It's also the slogan for Nintendo's Nintendo Power magazine (I don't know if they still make it). I think of it as a nice nod to James Rolfe, a.k.a. The Angry Video Game Nerd.

Well, I guess that's about all there is to say about this. Peace!

Haha, nice.
Nintendo Power is sadly no longer in publication, however. ;3;
